Basic Web Site design and setup

Setup of content management system (Mambo) based web site with no restriction on the number of pages using a look and feel of your choice. Includes:-

• Registration of your required domain. (Ie:- the address of your web site. For example:- www.yourcompany.co.uk.)
• Installation and setup of the Mambo content management system (requires PHP4 and MySQL) on the Internet Service Provider (ISP) Hosting Account of your choice. (However, we recommend either Heart Internet or Web Fusion.)
• Changing the look and feel of the site as per your requirements.
• Creation of basic site structure (no more than 10 pages) and configuration of Mambo with your contact details, etc. for administration purposes.
• Registration of the site with Internet Search Engines.
• Visit to client premises (if required) to discuss requirements.

Domain Name Registration costs extra and varies from ISP to ISP. For example, with Heart Internet a name ending with .uk costs around £2.59 a year, a name ending with .com £7.99 a year. (.uk domain names must be registered for a minimum of two years, .name domain names can be registered for one, two or ten years. .com, .net, .org, .biz & .info domain names can be registered for any number of years from one to ten.)

Hosting costs extra and varies from ISP to ISP. For example, with Heart Internet it starts at around £2.49 a year for an entry level professional account. Though, if you are going to be setting up a web site for a business, we would recommend at least a Business Professional account which is £129.99 a year. (Less than £11 a month.)

E-Commerce Enabling - Simple

Implementation of PayPal e-commerce code to allow simple on-line purchasing of products on your web site:-

• Setup of PayPal business account for the client.
• Adding the PayPal purchase code/buttons to one or more web site pages for up to 10 products.
• Assisting the client in getting their Paypal account verified so that they can accept secure payments online.
• Testing that the purchasing code added to the site works correctly.

This is suitable for simple products such as books, dvd's, etc. which are ordered by themselves in whatever quantity. Also suitable for repetative payments such as site subscriptions.

£150 per web site.

E-Commerce Enabling - Advanced

Implementation of a comprehensive Shopping Cart system to allow on-line shopping where the client potentially has a large number of products possibly with many options:-

• Setup and customisation of our preferred Shopping Cart software (osCommerce) which provides all the e-commerce facilities.
• Integrating the Shopping Cart software with the rest of your existing site.
• Enabling the clients preferred payment (eg:- PayPal, WorldPay, etc.) and shipping modules.
• Adding the clients privacy and terms and conditions information.
• Setting the clients details up in the software and configuring it how they want it.
• Adding the first 20 products to the Shopping Cart system.
• Thorough testing of the end product.

Our preferred solution has many additional facilities built-in. Some examples are:- customer registration, customer account maintainence, newsletter production and mailing and product review facilities.

Credit Card Clearance

Addition of credit card validation to allow on-line pre-payment of orders involving:-

• Registration with an Internet Payment Service Provider such as Netbanx.
• Liasing with the payment service provider's Technical Support staff to activate the credit card clearance facilities.
• Full testing of the credit card clearance facilities right through from purchasing on the web site to receipt of the appropriate emails for order confirmation, etc.

The entry level service at Netbanx for single purchases at a single price is only £75 plus VAT. If your e-commerce system collects your customers purchases into a single payment request (as most do) then this is all you need.

Flash MX 2004 Professional development

Over the past 12 months we have developed a number of interactive multimedia applications in Flash MX 2004 Professional.

These have included sound and video applications and applications for use in education.

£25 per hour for Flash MX 2004 Professional development.

Web Server Setup

Change to self-hosting of web site on own Linux web server. These days you might as well use one of the many excellent dedicated server accounts provided by ISP's such as 1 & 1, Web Fusion, etc. These start from as little as £29 a month with a one-off setup fee of £99. (All plus VAT.)

We can move your existing site, database, etc. to one of these accounts quite easily.

£20 per hour for consultancy work and implementation.

Linux Consultancy/LAMP programming
